The web container handles what has to happen in the browser: reading the data layer, honouring consent state and firing the tags that must run client side. A server container receives the same events through a first-party endpoint, enriches them and forwards them to ad and analytics platforms from infrastructure you control.
The event contract, meaning event names, parameters, when each fires and which consent it depends on, is documented and versioned. A release that changes the page no longer silently changes the data.

Attribution is built to the conversion paths your business actually has: the touchpoints, the lag between them and the offline steps in the middle, rather than a platform’s default view of its own channel.
Where user-level data ends, in walled gardens, under consent or in offline media, a marketing mix model estimates channel contribution from aggregate spend and outcome data. Budget decisions get a basis at channel level.
