01The challenge
Barq advertises on several ad platforms at once, and measures what that advertising brings in through its app attribution: the installs and in-app activity from its paid campaigns and from its other channels.
Each platform reports its spend in its own interface, in its own way and its own currency, while installs are counted somewhere else again. To judge a campaign, the team needed its cost and its installs side by side, current, and right.
02What we built
A marketing dashboard for Barq, built and run by us. The spend, impressions and clicks of every ad platform Barq runs come straight from the platform, and the installs and in-app events come straight from its attribution, for every channel alike. Spend is shown in Saudi riyals and matched to installs by campaign.
- An overview that brings every channel together, and a page for each ad platform.
- Pages for its other channels, built on the same attribution data.
- Automatic pulls from every source, saved month by month, so closed months stay exactly as they were.
- Built-in checks that run against the live data and flag any break in the data contract.
03How it works
From the platforms to the page Barq’s team opens, in four steps.
Each source, read directly
Barq’s dashboard
Pull
Each source is read directly: the ad platforms for spend, the attribution for installs and events. No spreadsheet sits in between.
Keep
Every pull is saved month by month. Recent days are pulled again so late attribution and platform corrections land, and if a source fails, the last good data stays in place.
Match
Spend is converted into Saudi riyals and matched to installs by campaign, so every campaign carries its cost and its installs together.
Check
The dashboard tests its own data contract. We check every source for late, missing or doubled data, and the live pages against their sources.
04How it helped
- Every channel in one live viewEvery ad platform Barq runs and its attribution sit in one dashboard, instead of separate exports and separate interfaces.
- The cost of each install, campaign by campaignSpend and installs meet on the campaign, in riyals, so the team sees what each campaign cost for what it brought in.
- Numbers that keep themselves currentThe dashboard refreshes on its own through the day, and late attribution lands without anyone re-running a report.
- Problems caught before they reach a reportOur checks find a late feed, a gap or spend counted twice, and it is fixed at the source.
- No manual step left to breakEvery source now arrives on its own, with no spreadsheet export in the middle.
